piano

I'm finally going to learn to play the piano.

I've always been into music.  Over my lifetime, I've played several instruments- flute, soprano sax, tuba, accordion, bass guitar.  But when I was young, I fell in love with the piano.  I was told my hands were too small to play. 

Well, I don't buy that anymore.

Dadra is loaning me her keyboard for a while.

I want to learn to play:

Erm. Walking the fine line between boredom and laziness. Wishing it was May so I could have a vacation. Currently, editing audio, and getting some pleasure from that. Kind of comping a disc. Want a disc? I'm comping one.
Twinge
One of my favorite things about going back home is dusting off the piano in my parents' living room. I was never serious about or good at it, but it's fun to pull out my old (simple) sheet music and plunk away. When no one else is home.

It's incredibly satisfying, isn't it? Even the easy bits are gorgeous. That's where I want to be someday.... able to sit down at any piano and pluck something out.
